Providence House provides housing and services to homeless, abused, or formerly incarcerated women and children of women referred from the NYS Division of Parole, NYC Department of Homeless Services, Westchester County Department of Social Services and local Social Service agencies.
Providence House runs congregate residences, located in Queens and Brooklyn ( and provides transitional housing and support. Professional staff link residents to support services in the community, assist with basic life skills and help them obtain permanent housing.
Women are given referrals for housing, education, job training and other programs.
This program is for women directly released from prison. Providence III for single women and Providence V for women and their babies.
Length of stay 3-6 months.
