Community Access is a not-for-profit agency, that helps people with psychiatric disabilities transition from shelters and hospitals to independent living by providing safe, affordable housing, support services, and advocating for the rights of people to live without fear or stigma.

The Peer Specialist Training Program at Community Access' Howie the Harp Peer Advocacy Center is a program designed for mental health consumers seeking jobs in the human services field. Each trainee receives classroom training in such areas as counseling techniques, group facilitation, case management, services delivery, substance abuse recovery and conflict resolution.

Recent work experience and or education in human services is required.
