Supported employment jobs are different from transitional employment jobs because they are not time-limited. They are competitive jobs that are developed for each individual, based on a person’s abilities and career goals. People are hired as ‘regular’ employees in ‘real jobs’ and receive the going rate of pay and benefits. Support is offered on or off the job site help peple keep their jobs. These supports are flexible, ongoing, and can be provided by employment program staff, peers, co-workers, family, or friends.

If you are in a crisis, shelters offer a place to stay for up to one month. They provide medical, mental health, recreational, employment, and legal services and will also help connect you to other housing options.
